How do you use MÉCACYL CR in your car ?

Prerequisites:

Mécacyl CR is a complementary hyper-lubricant for all petrol, diesel, hybrid and gas vehicles.
If your vehicle is in perfect conditions, has always had regular maintenance, never shows any abnormal consumption or leakage of oil or coolant (such as EGR with coolant), you may absolutely use Mécacyl CR with excellent results.

Frequency of use:

Follow the manufacturer’s recommendations.
Max. 15,000 km to continue to get the best results.
If the manufacturer recommends an oil change every 20,000 km, Mécacyl CR may be added.

In new vehicles:
- Add 2% without an oil change at 5,000 km as per the procedure defined above.

- Add 2-3% Mécacyl CR upon the warranty-required oil change around 10-12,000 km.
- Add 2-3% Mécacyl CR upon each oil change.

In used vehicles:
- Vehicle from 50,000 to 100,000 km: Do an oil change after adding
Mécacyl CR at 5,000 km and then do oil changes at the normal intervals with Mécacyl CR each time.

- Vehicle from 100,000 to 150,000 km: Do an oil change at 3,000 km; an oil change at 5,000 km and then oil changes at the normal intervals with Mécacyl CR each time.

- Vehicle from 150,000 to 180,000 km: Do an oil change at 3,000 km; an oil change at 5,000 km and, if necessary, an oil change at 8,000 km then oil changes at the normal intervals with Mécacyl CR each time.

- Vehicle beyond 180,000 km: Ask us.

For oil changes that are close together, 15w40 oil (vehicles produced before 2000) or 10w40 (vehicles produced after 2000) is perfectly fine. Continue doing oil changes at normal intervals, using Mécacyl CR and the oil of your choice.

In LPG vehicles:
- The same is true for petrol or diesel vehicles.

Every 10-15,000 km maximum or every 12 months.
Do an oil change approximately 5,000 km after adding Mécacyl CR for the first time, if necessary, and then do oil changes at the normal intervals with Mécacyl CR each time.

For diesel vehicles:
- Vehicles with a particle filter:
Mécacyl CR can be used in vehicles with a particle filter. The aim is always to protect the particle filter. Observe the precautions above.
- Vehicle with EG valve coolant or exchangers:
Mécacyl CR can be used in vehicles with EGR. The aim is always to protect the EGR.

Specific situation:
Some diesel vehicle models produced after 2005 are equipped with specific EGR valves (around 6% of all diesel vehicles on the road). These EGR valves are coupled to 1 cooler or exchanger (EGR valve cooled by coolant). If your vehicle is equipped with this type of EGR valve, don’t use Mécacyl CR.

Other EGR valves can be used.

Use:

Mécacyl CR is to be used with clean oil after an oil change. If it couldn’t be added after the oil change, it can be added a maximum of 3,000 km after an oil change.
Dosage: 2-3% of the oil quantity; in other words, one 100 ml bottle for 4 to 5 litres of oil.

  1.     The engine must be hot; in other words, at operating temperature.
  2.     Pour Mécacyl CR directly into the oil tank.
  3.     Run or turn on the engine for a minimum of 10 minutes.

Depending on the number of kilometres or the vehicle wear, 1 to 2 oil changes close together may be appropriate.

Please note: white smoke will come out of the exhaust during the first 10 to 15 km after adding Mécacyl CR. This is completely normal: Mécacyl CR eliminates water and oxides; a dry engine wears out faster.

Type of oil:

For faster blending, 10W40 or 15W40 oils are best for 90% of all uses.
In general, all petroleum-based polymer oils are compatible with MECACYL whether they are multi-grade, semi-synthetic or synthetic (5W40, 5w30...).

Contraindications:

-          Abnormal oil consumption.
-          Abnormal coolant consumption.
-          Very worn, old engines which are about to break down.
-          A diesel car equipped with an EGR valve cooled with coolant.
-          Silicone, paraffin and graphite oils.
-          Non-petroleum polymer-based oils.
-          A diesel car equipped with an EGR valve cooled with coolant.
-          Previous additive use.

Benefits:

-          Less fuel consumption (8 to 15%).
-          Enhanced engine performance.
-          Less pollution.
-          Protects the engine.
-          Silence and suppleness.
