Prerequisites:

Mécacyl HJD is the perfect complement to Mécacyl CR for any diesel vehicle. It can be used as a complement to Mécacyl CR in diesel oil fuel for HDI, CDI, TDI, turbo or non-turbo diesel vehicles, etc. It reduces pollution and offers mechanical protection for the injection system. It also means less fouling in modern engines equipped with EGR valves and particle filters.

Frequency of use:

One 200 ml bottle every 15-20,000 km.
Continuously, 1 l for every 1,000 litres when there are doubts about the fuel.

Use:

Regular maintenance:

  1.            Use Mécacyl HJD around 2,000 km after an oil change with Mécacyl CR and vice versa.
  2.            Always blend well when refuelling.
  3.           For Mécacyl HJD, alternating it with the diesel oil to blend it well when refuelling. The engine must be hot; in other words, at operating temperature.

For pre-2000 injections:

  1.            200 ml for 60 litres of fuel every 15-20,000 km.

For modern injection (after 2000):

  1.            1/3 of a 200 ml bottle; in other words, around 60 ml, well-blended when refuelling every 5,000/6,000 km for continuous injection protection.

Emergency recommendations:

  1.            If the injectors gets clogged, directly add Mécacyl HJD (from 1/2 of a 200 ml bottle to a full bottle into the diesel oil filter).
  2.            In such case and since it’s a non-flammable, non-fusible lubricant, sudden intense use of Mécacyl HJD can sometimes lead to temporary lags in acceleration. It’s normal!
  3.            They will quickly disappear.

Contraindications:

Specific situation:

Some diesel vehicle models produced after 2005 are equipped with specific EGR valves (around 6% of all diesel vehicles on the road). These EGR valves are coupled to a cooler or exchanger (EGR valve cooled by coolant). If your vehicle is equipped with this type of EGR valve, don’t use Mécacyl HJD.

Other EGR valves can be used.

Particle filters with additives should also be avoided as there may be a reaction between the additive and Mécacyl. Other filter particles can be used.

Benefits:

-          Limits fouling (injection, EGR, particle filter...).
-          Reduces exhaust smoke.
-          Easier anti-pollution control.
-          Offers injection silence.
-          Hyper-lubricates.
-          Protection from water, contaminants, cold weather.
