How do you use MECACYL HY in manual lorry transmissions?

Prerequisites:

Mécacyl HY can be used in all manual or sequential transmissions in good conditions.  It is also used in all classic axles with limited slip or when self-locking (except Haldex self-locking axles).

Frequency of use:

With every transmission or axle fluid change.
Lasts 80,000 km or 2-3 years.

Use:

Transmission:

  1.        5% oily fluid; in other words, one 100 ml bottle for every 2.5 litres of transmission fluid

Axle:

  1.        3% oily fluid in the axles

Mécacyl HY is meant to be used with clean oil. If the vehicle is new or the oil is less than 6 months old, add Mécacyl HY in the vent hole without emptying it.

Type of oil:

All types of oil including DEXRON automatic transmission fluid.
Nonetheless, 75w80 or 80W90 oil is better 99% of the time.

Contraindications:

-          Do not use with submerged brakes.
-          Worn transmissions.
-          Overdrive transmission without differential fluid.
-          Automatic transmissions.
-          HALDEX controlled-slip self-locking axles.
-          Previous additive use.
